Terms of Service

These terms set out what you and we each agree to when you use SIPLX — the Android and Windows apps, the siplx.com website, and the account and cloud-sync service behind them. By installing, signing in to or using SIPLX you accept these terms. How we handle your data is described in the Privacy Policy; refunds are covered by the Refund Policy.

1. Accounts

• SIPLX works without an account. Signing in is for purchasing, joining a team and syncing your content across devices.
• Accounts are created by signing in with Google. Keep the account you sign in with safe; anything done through your SIPLX account is treated as done by you.
• SIPLX is not directed at children under 13.
• You can delete your account at any time from the app or the web; what happens to your data afterwards is described in section 7 of the Privacy Policy.

2. Plans and payment

• Free: up to 50 personal snippets, stored only on your device. You can sign in, but signing in does not turn on sync.
• Plus: unlimited personal snippets, kept only on the device you create them on. Plus does not include cloud sync, so each device keeps its own library — the same as Free, without the 50-snippet limit.
• Pro: unlimited personal snippets, synced automatically between your devices.
• Team: Pro plus a shared team workspace, priced per seat with a minimum of 2 seats. The team owner pays; members do not need their own subscription. Joining someone else's team is free on any plan, including Free and Plus.
• There are two ways to pay, and both attach to the same SIPLX account: Plus, Pro and Team subscriptions and Ink top-ups bought inside the Android app go through Google Play; Plus, Pro and Team subscriptions bought by Windows users on siplx.com go through our reseller Lemon Squeezy, which is the merchant of record and handles payment, invoicing and tax. Prices, currency and tax are as shown at checkout. Either way, we never see or store your card or bank details.
• Plus and Pro are the same personal subscription at two tiers, so you hold one of them at a time: moving between them is a plan change made where you manage your subscription, not a second purchase. A Team subscription is separate and can be held alongside either.
• Subscriptions renew automatically each period until you cancel: a Google Play subscription on the Google Play Subscriptions page, a website subscription in the Lemon Squeezy customer portal ("Manage subscription" in the app and on the site). After cancelling you keep access until the end of the paid period.
• Refunds follow the Refund Policy: whichever way you bought it, a subscription can be refunded in full within 14 days of purchase. Ink is a consumable; Ink that has been spent is not refunded.
• When a subscription ends and the account returns to Free, personal snippets beyond the 50-snippet limit are locked and hidden, not deleted; they all come back when you subscribe again.

3. Your content

• The snippets, triggers and folders you write in SIPLX are yours. So that we can store them, sync them to your devices and provide the features you ask for (such as AI formatting), you give us permission to store and process that content to the extent needed.
• You are responsible for what you put into SIPLX. Do not use it to store or distribute unlawful content, other people's private data or credentials, malware, or material that infringes someone else's rights.
• Attachments such as images stay on your device and are never uploaded.

4. Team workspaces

• Content placed in a team workspace belongs to the team, not to the person who placed it there. Every member of the team can see and sync the full content of team snippets.
• The team owner decides who may join, who may edit and who may export team content, and may remove members or dissolve the team at any time. After you are removed or leave, you can no longer access that team's content; what you contributed stays with the team.
• Dissolving a team deletes all of its content and usage records. When a team subscription lapses the team stops syncing; its content is kept until the subscription is renewed.
• Team content cannot be moved back into a personal library or exported freely — that is a rule protecting the team's material, not a defect.

5. The Accessibility Service (Android)

On Android, SIPLX uses the system Accessibility Service to recognise the trigger words you type and replace them with the matching content. The permission is used only for text expansion and you can switch it off in system settings at any time; SIPLX then stops expanding text in other apps. What it reads and processes is described in section 1 of the Privacy Policy.

6. AI features

• AI formatting sends the text you choose to process to a third-party model provider, as described in section 4 of the Privacy Policy.
• AI output can be wrong, incomplete or unsuitable. Check it before you use it; you are responsible for how you use it.
• The free allowance resets weekly and does not carry over; further use is paid for with Ink.

7. Acceptable use

You must not: circumvent payment or plan limits; register accounts or farm free allowances with scripts; interfere with, reverse-engineer or attack the SIPLX service; or use SIPLX for harassment, fraud or any unlawful purpose. Accounts that breach this section may be suspended or terminated without refund.

8. Changes and availability

• SIPLX keeps changing: features may be added, adjusted or withdrawn. Material changes affecting paid benefits will be announced in the app or on the website in advance.
• Without a network connection, or while the cloud service is temporarily unavailable, the app keeps working with the data on your device and syncs your changes once the connection returns. We work to keep the service available but do not promise it will be uninterrupted.
• Free-plan content lives only on your device — please keep your own backup (Import & Export in the app produces CSV or JSON at any time).

9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

SIPLX is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost profits or lost data arising from your use of, or inability to use, SIPLX, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for SIPLX in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

10. Termination

You can stop using SIPLX or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account for a serious breach of these terms and will tell you why where we can. After termination, the Privacy Policy's rules on deletion and retention continue to apply.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising from them should first be raised with us so that we can try to resolve it together.

12. Changes to these terms

When we change these terms we update the "Last updated" date at the top; material changes that affect your rights will be announced in the app or on the website. Continuing to use SIPLX after a change takes effect means you accept the new terms.
